Carolinas College of Health Science - schedule
I had lower stats than you and got in. Same as you my high school gpa was better than my college and I think that saved me. I wouldn't both applying to pre-nursing but that's just me.

Midwifery Experience
Hi! I'm in a very similar boat except I'm just starting nursing school. I just took a training through Prodoula - less expensive than other organizations and focuses on professionalism while building provider relationships. I've been very happy with them and want to eventually get certified in childbirth education. Good Luck!

Carolinas College of Health Science - schedule
Hi findingmypurpose, I've been wondering the same thing and I'm starting spring 17 too! Before I made the plunge to apply I followed these boards for years to see if it was possible to work and do school (&I be a mom in my case) I thinks it's definitely doable of you don't have to take the general classes. Unfortunately, my AP class didn't transfer so I'm bummed out about that and now on the fence about he whole program. Did you do pre-nursing there? I feel like this whole reply was no help im sorry!

Case Manager - New RN
Hi everyone, I am starting my associate RN program in January. This will be my second degree for me with my undergraduate being in counseling. My first job out of school was being a care manager for a state home care program. I worked there for two years and was able to become a certified CM. Looking at other positions I realized almost all of them required either your RN or MSW and I knew I didn't want to pursue my MSW so here I am. My question is would it be possible to secure a care manger position out of RN school or will I need RN experience to be considered? I don't really have any interest in hospital nursing, I've heard very stressful things about LTC and home care nurses so I am lost on where I should get this experience if I do need it. Thanks for any advice!

Carolinas College of Health Science - schedule
Hi Everyone, I have gotten accepted to Carolinas College of Health Science for Spring 17'. Very excited since I've heard that it was pretty hard to get into in the area. I am trying to plan childcare for when classes start and was wondering what a typical schedule would be? 7am-3pm or more like 6pm? I have already taken all the non- nursing classes. Thanks in advance for any insight!

GPA averaging?
Hi Everyone... Quick questions I'm hoping someone would know. For most schools, are all the different GPAs averaged? - I have a 3.5 for undergrad -3.5 transfer courses to undergrad - 3.9 for masters -3.7 for perquisites taken last year I'm nervous because my freshmen year I failed BIO I and statistics (8 years ago). I have since retaken it and gotten an A- but I'm nervous it will still be looked down on. Any insight would be appreciated!

New Mom! Fall 2016 Accelerated (Quinnipiac/st joseph...etc) vs traditional Southern
I'm in the same boat as you! I have an 8 month old son and have been wanting to go to start an RN program since before he was born. I work full time and can't see how people do it! I finally started by taking life span psyc and principles of Soc online at cc since most programs require these. Next semester I'm taking A&P at a Naugatuck Valley at night so my husband can watch my son. I'm planning on getting my AS at Gateway because they offer a night program. Where are you located? are you taking any prereqs now?

a&p ii winter session?
Hey Everyone, I've been a huge fan of this board for quite some time and could use some help. I've known for two years I've wanted to go back to school to become an RN, working as a full time MSW, and being a first time mom has made it hard to complete my perquisites. I finally added an early morning A&P at Naugatuck Valley and a late Micro class. I am so antsy to actually apply to a program I was wondering if anyone knew of a school that offered A&P ii during winter session?? thanks in advance!
