Goldenwest 2014 ADN Program

I just mailed away my application for the 2014 ADN program and I was curious from past students what a competitive amount of points is. I have 89/100 because I am not a vet, do not speak another language, and was advanced on the TEAS test (not exemplary). I know from attending the Cypress College orientation that everyone who got in there this past application period, and some of waitlist, had 30/30 points, but GWC does not have a live orientation so I can't really gauge their numbers. Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated!

I can't remember my total points when I applied but my science GPA was a 3.4 and I got a 82% on the teas. I also had 200+ hours volunteer work and my associate degree in science completed.

I got into the fall 2014 class! How about everyone else???

I also applied to saddleback. They're my #1 but I won't know until May.

I applied to Saddleback as well but I am going to go with golden west. I've heard great things about their program.

GPA was 4.0 and TEAS was low at 72.7 %. Also, I did have 200+ volunteer hours. Point total was 64! Good luck mitchybits! You'll probably hear something next week!

I was placed into Spring '15 program

I had a 3.5 gpa

I can't recall my total points but I want to say it was 69 or 70.

My ati wasn't great (didn't study) 74.7%

I also have 3 associate degrees (assumed that would only count as just 5 pts on the mutlicriteria form)

and had over 200 hrs of work in a healthcare setting.

I got in for Fall 2014. Does anyone know what hospitals clinicals are held at and when orientation is approximately?

Thank you ladies! Congrats again!! I have my fingers crossed!! Good luck in the program :)

I just got a letter this morning offering me a spot for Fall 2014, but I will be declining because I already accepted a position in a BSN program at Cal State. Good luck to you all, and this will open up a spot for someone else hopefully!

I got accepted for Spring 15 but still waiting to hear from Saddleback and Cal State San Marcos. If I get accepted to those I will decline this one.

I got accepted for Fall 2014, I'm an alternate for CSULB Fall 2014 and will decline GWC if I get into cal sate.

ive heard that clinicals in the past were at los Alamitos, hoag, long beach memorial, Lakewood, orange coast memorial, UCI, fountain valley, st. joseph, Kaiser, CHOC... basically orange county but some in long beach area too. I think it just depends on the semester and where they are able to place students that year
