Glasses ???

Someone suggested getting glasses. I do not wear them. Does anyone think that buying non-perscription glasses is needed? I was told that it elliminates needed safety glasses and they can be worn all the time as a precaution. Is it worth the money? Is it a good idea??

I don't think so, I'm in school right now and our instructor says that unless they are the old "80's" type glassess, and have side shields added then there is no point, you should get safety goggles/glasses and you can still wear them all day as a precaution.

Regular eyeglasses do not substitute for or replace safety goggle/glasses. They do not provide nearly as much protection. (However, they do provide more protection than nothing ...)

If I didn't need glasses anyway, I would not wear "dummy" glasses for protection purposes. If you want the protection (all the time), get a pair of real safety glasses.

I need prescription glasses. When I'm working I prefer to wear my contacts so that I can easily wear goggles when needed or protective eye shields. my glasses are always falling down my nose or getting smudged.

Earthnurse, is Lexington TN in Henderson County, next to Carroll Cty? If so, I have visited that part of TN often in the past.

Don't forget glasses also will also allow you to modify your looks.

And some can be quite stylish.
