Hello Everyone,
I really need help. I have just decided that I really want to go into nursing. I have been searching the web and not finding much information on schools in CT. Does anyone know of any good schools in ct for nursing? I want to become and RN. Also if anyone knows do you have to become an LPN before and RN or is there a school in CT that you could become a RN without becoming and LPN first? Please help I am so confused.
Thank you,
Christina :uhoh21:

Hi Christina,
I have found the following site useful in looking for nursing schools.
http://www.allnursingschools.com
This site will give you different options of what type of program you want and what state you want to go to school in.
Hope this helps!
Good Luck,
Stephanie

Look at St. Joseph's website www.sjc.edu
I am taking my prereqs at Capital Community first (because it is cheaper),
then I am transferring over to St. Joe's. I have heard alot of good things at the school and the nursing program.

Where in CT do you live?? There are several programs out there that offer both ASN and BSN programs.
I am in my second semester at Naugatuck Valley community college for my RN.
Then there is Capital ASN
St Josephs
Bridgeport hospital school of nursing ASN
UCONN BSN
Goodwin college ASN
Those are the ones I can thin kof at the top of my head. If you live in litchfield county you can take your prereqa at Northwester community college and they have an awesome transfer program with Naugatuck that will get you right in.

this is a link to the community colleges in CT (all of them)
i graduated from Norwalk Community College in Fairfield County.... it was an excellent school and had no waiting list if your pre reqs were done
pre reqs are usually English Comp, College Algebra, Intro to Chem and sometimes A&P 1.... i cant remember if there were any others....
but you should try to get as many of your non nursing classes such as gen psych and child psych, A&P, micro, etc.... out of the way before you begin the nursing part of the program....
