Getting into Nursing School

Published

Hi,

I recently finished all my pre-req courses and was wondering what my chances of getting into a nursing school is. I have an undergrad GPA of 3.4 in biological sciences and pre-req GPA of 3.42. I am applying to accelerated programs. I have plenty of clinical hours and good recommendations. Let me know what you guys think my chances are of getting into an accelerated program.

Your chances are going to depend greatly on the school's admission criteria. Some may only look at GPA, some may have a point system, others may have another method to determine who gets admitted. Competitiveness may also depend on your geographical area- how many available seats vs number of applicants can be influenced by how populated the area is.

Your likelihood of acceptance will depend on the school and on the other students applying. If possible, I would also contact advisors at these schools to gain some insight.
