Hello there everyone, I am a pre-nursing student starting my sophomore year of college. I have always wanted to be in the medical field and have decided to get my BSN and follow it up with a graduate program, as I'll have to fall back on if things go south. I am looking in to the pros and cons of CRNA and Perfusion programs. So far this is what I have:

CRNA:

+Good pay

+Active job (less likely to become bored)

+Job Availability

-Gruesome education, 3 years

-Min. 1 year ICU Experience to get in

Perfusion:

+Good pay

+Less gruesome education, 2 years

-Job Availability (limited)

-Not as active as most healthcare jobs

I am looking for input and advice on the subject of which one would be best for me. I'll tell you that I am not the most social person, I never have been (I am somewhat shy). While making a lot of money is great, I am not willing to work at a job that I hate for a few extra bucks an hour. If you were in my shoes, what would you do?

Honestly I'd take some time to work bedside and get a feel for what really interests me. At least that's my plan.
