German nurse

Hi,

I am new here and I am from Germany.

I live here with my husband and 3 kids since almost 8 years!

My youngest son will start Kindergarten after summer so that i think that this is for me a good opportunity to start working again here in the US. Right now I try to find out what I have exactly to do in order to resive my Florida licence as a German with a German Nurse Diploma!

Is there somebody who can tell me which way I have to go. I am sorry I know I have still to work on my english-skills.

Take care

:spnngwlcm: You can find info about getting a license in the international forum. However, I think the "retrogression" situation applies to all. Look up threads and posts about retrogression and contact the Board of Nursing in your state.

Hi and welcome to the site

Have already some answers to your thread in the International forum

Hi and welcome to allnurses! :) It's great to have you here!

Hi,

I'm Nurse from Germany as well. I live in California and I'm in the final stage of getting my workvisa. It's a very hard and long process to get registered here in United States. Follow the general advice from the international forum and post your resume in carrerbuilder for example. I found a sponsor easily. But everything else takes forever. Let me know if I can help you anyhow.

Take care

Tanja
