hi, this is sheraz . Can anyone tell me what is generic nursing .what is the difference b/w generic and BScN.plz give detail description.thank u

At my school the generic nursing program (BSN) is the regualr program (6 semesters 2 semesters a year). Every other program in the nursing department isn't generic nursing. For instance, we have a accelerated BSN which consists of the same exact courses, clinical hours, etc...but it is only a 14 month program and so it is not the generic BSN, it's the accelerated BSN. Hope that answers your question.

Generic would be those students entering a nursing program having no nursing background.
Also in the same classes might be ADNs who are studying for a BSN. LPNs though they have that diploma would be generic because they are not RNs already.
