full-time work?

Published

Can anybody give me an idea as to what is generally considered full-time work for an RN working in a hospital? Thanks :-)

3 12hours shift a week where I work is full time.

Can you tell me how those shifts run? Is it Monday, Wednesday Friday? Or one day during the day & two weekend days?

I have been trying to figure out what type of scheduling is available and would greatly appreciate any additional information. I am trying to work around kids & husbands schedule :uhoh3:

For us it is 3 12-hour shifts also.

Every unit is different in their approach to scheduling. We have to work every other weekend but are self-scheduling. Not everyone gets what they sign up for however. And everyone has different requests. For instance some people like to work all three of theirs in a row. Personally, I can only phyiscally handle two in a row and I need every Mon. and Tues. off. It always works out well for me.

3 12-hr shifts per week or 5 8-hr shifts.

Some places, 32 hours a week is full time.

Hi

Our Unit is self-scheduling; We work every other weekend & every other Holiday. Full time is 80 he/ 2 wks.

We do 8 hr & 12 hr. Our 12 hr full time do 3 12's + 1 8 hr.; 5 8 hr shifts for the other people.

If we need days off for school, we can do that.

We don't really lose much, tho if we cut down to 72 hrs. I did that & I do the 8 hrs.

If we do 12 hr-- we have to have a partner---0700-1930 and

1900-0730
