FSW Spring 2018

It's a bit early, I know. I just wanted to start a thread for all of those looking down the road planning to apply to FSW this fall for the spring 2018 program start..

I'm planning on applying to the Charlotte campus for the Evening/Weekend (ANEW) schedule format.

What campus are you planning on applying to?

What classes are you trying to finish up before applying in Sept/Oct?

What program schedule format will you be choosing (Daytime or evening/weekend)?

Did you take the TEAS VI exam and how did you do?

I look forward to the discussion over the next few months!!

Is there anyone here who wasn't accepted to the Spring 2018 ANEW course and is looking to do the next available class schedule? I missed the cut off deadline for the Spring 2018 ANEW schedule. I'm wondering if there is a Summer 2018 ANEW program set up? I know there will be one in the Fall, but I was really hoping to start my classes before then.

Hey there, Sorry to hear that you missed the deadline. I don't believe there will be any classes starting this summer. My understanding is that both the traditional and the ANEW schedule classes begin in the fall/spring semesters. I don't blame you for wanting to get started asap. If you already have your 9 prerequisite classes completed for the ADN program and you eventually plan on finishing your BSN, then maybe you could work on the prerequisites required for the BSN degree while you wait for the fall program. That's what I would do in that circumstance...

Hey guys just joined the chat. I got into the nursing program on the Lee campus. I was wondering if anyone knew how to order the books online. I finally am able to buy it after working a ton!

Hi there! Under student academics there should be a box that says academic resources then you'll click purchase books. Change the year if you get an error then it'll show the nursing classes & it's pretty straight forward from there. I only purchased the package so far because the ATI can only be ordered in person. The book is still on back order, hoping it ships soon.

Thank you!!! And hopefully!! We need it the first day I believe!

I'm sorry last question... I did what you said and I see the package/bundle for $986! I thought it was going to be $956.. Oh well! But I also saw the Pharmacology: Connections to Nsg (w/MyNursingLab Access) book as a single book for $202.75... We don't have to get the single book right??

That Pharmacology book and the access code are included in your $986 bundle, so you don't need to purchase it separately.

I'm just curious how many of you guys will be working while doing school. What shift do you work and how many hours per week will you be working?

I work at Cape Coral Hospital and I'm switching to part time to keep the health insurance. So 2 days a week, 12.5 hour shifts.

I'll be working Monday through Friday 8-3. Unfortunately. If I had the choice I wouldn't work while in the nursing program but I do have a family to help support and need health insurance so it's what is best for my family...

I plan on working on the weekends.

Cool, glad to hear some of you will be occupied with work while going through the program. It makes me feel a little less concerned about trying to manage my day. I'm eager to see what the daily work load will be like once we get in to this first semester.
