Hey there! This will be my first time applying. Which campus do you plan on applying to for the spring? Do you plan to do the regular schedule or the ANEW schedule?

Also, how many points did you have when you applied for Fall '17?

I selected all campuses. Charlotte as my 1st, Lee 2nd, and Collier 3rd. I applied with 53 points. Which I'm aware is quite low. I was looking forward to the regular schedule.

Ok cool! Like you I'm hoping to get into Charlotte as my first choice too, Lee as my second. But I will be applying for the ANEW schedule. From what I understand, the first ANEW cohort that started this summer was only held at the LEE campus. I'm hoping they have a class at the Charlotte campus as well this for this spring (providing I get in at all).

Ya from what I understand 53 points is on the lower end but it was a good idea for you to try to apply anyway. It's amazing what a difference the TEAS score can make on the points tally. Are you done all of your pre-reqs?

Yes, I am done with them all. I know! Looking back at the Teas points column, I'm amazed. I've spoken to a faculty from the school's program, and was told the cut off point was at 60 (perhaps, in that range). I'm feeling more optimistic for spring.

Ok good to know. I've read other threads where applicants got accepted with points in the low 60's.

Ya from what I understand, the spring semester is less competitive then the fall semester.

Is the traditional nursing program on all of the campuses?

Yes, from what I have read and understand the traditional program is held at the Charlotte, Lee, and Collier campus' each spring and fall semester. The Lee campus seems to be the main location. I say this because it seems that they try to make sure that they fill the seats with qualifying applicants in that campus first before they fill the seats in the other 2 campuses. If an applicant isn't competitive enough to be accepted in their 1st campus of choice (ex. Charlotte) they may not get accepted there, but they may get accepted at their second campus of choice (ex. Lee) if they are competitive enough for that pool of applicants.

Perhaps there are others on here who can add some further information/explanation to the process and the number of available seats at each campus...

All that is correct. As I'm aware of, the students accepted into Charlotte and Collier have points that fall into the lower range. The only exception will be if the student chose charlotte or collier as their first choice. Lastly, lee campus does have a summer schedule that is fitted for students with a busy schedule. As far as the seats, I'm not exactly sure the amount Lee/Charlotte/Collier accepts. I've walked around the AA building at Lee campus and noticed on the class pictures that the number of graduates have increased.

Ya I believe you are referring to the summer ANEW (which stands for "associate of nursing evenings/weekends) schedule that started at the Lee campus this semester. I emailed the program director at the Charlotte campus and she told me that starting in spring 2018 all of the classes on the ANEW schedule will be starting in the spring and fall semesters, just like the regular schedule classes.

For those who may be wondering what the ANEW schedule looks like, I was told that all of the theory is taught in a asynchronous format online with one class in the evening during the week (ex. 5:30pm-8:30pm - times vary) and the clinical and clinical simulation completed in a 12 hour day on the weekend. Some weekends may require both days in order to get the required hours per semester. So for those who may work during the day or have to watch a baby during the day (which will be the case for me) this is a great option.

Since FSW is getting a regular ANEW schedule rotation going, I assume the number of people accepted and the number of people who graduate will increase even more.
