FSW Fall 2015

Florida Southwestern State College formerly Edison State College. I started thread for FSW but it is full with spring applicants. So I decided to start a new one for this upcoming fall.

Who is joining me next fall in nursing?

I plan to apply for Part-time or Lee full time. I have one more semester of pre-requisites. I am taking A&P 1, Micro, College Algebra and Nutrition. Kill me now. :arghh: lol A full time semester of craziness but almost done after that hopefully with pre-requisites with the exemption of A&P 2 and a humanities class.

I plan to take the Hesi in mid Feb or march and retake if needed at the end of April. Schedule has been posted and I plan to study a lot this winter break. So excited but so nervous.

    Whites for clinicals, lecture class regular clothes or FSW polo and slacks, lab class FSW polo and slacks.

    I asked one of my friends in the program about the uniforms so I could be clear. This definitely clears things up for whoever wasn't sure. :)

    You received handbook in your last email? I didn't receive it. I emailed lee staff assistant but no response yet.

    Thanks btw for listing it for me. I am going to get my uniforms tomorrow and I wanted to get everything and not have to worry about it.

    How many uniforms are you guys getting? I was thinking of getting one but do you think we need more?

    I'm going to get 2 polos. I'm gonna hold off on getting scrubs since we don't have clinicals this semester. I'll probably wait until September when I get my grant money. I don't own white or tan slacks so I'll probably pick up like 2 or 3 pairs of those as well. We only have 1 lab one day a week this semester, so I can't see buying one being irrational mamiluv.

    Anybody knows affordable place for physical and vaccines? Tx

    I cant get the physical for nursing at my PCP so I have to look elsewhere. I called outpatient Employee Health offices at LMHS and they want too much for each titer. I have insurance, so my next guess is the health dept. I will let you know.
