FSW Fall 2015

Florida Southwestern State College formerly Edison State College. I started thread for FSW but it is full with spring applicants. So I decided to start a new one for this upcoming fall.

Who is joining me next fall in nursing?

I plan to apply for Part-time or Lee full time. I have one more semester of pre-requisites. I am taking A&P 1, Micro, College Algebra and Nutrition. Kill me now. :arghh: lol A full time semester of craziness but almost done after that hopefully with pre-requisites with the exemption of A&P 2 and a humanities class.

I plan to take the Hesi in mid Feb or march and retake if needed at the end of April. Schedule has been posted and I plan to study a lot this winter break. So excited but so nervous.

Bubbles, I felt like I didn't study enough for the A&P section, but I ended up getting 100% in that area. The math section was difficult due to not being able to write anything down. I had a hard time remembering what numbers I calculated for the fractions, but I still passed the math section with a 90%. Just make sure to study, study, study. There were a few unexpected questions that had me wishing I had studied a bit more. My total HESI score came out to 91.33

Hey everyone! I am so glad I found this thread! Does anyone know what seems to be the average point spread for those applying for Fall 2015? I have 88 overall points, with a 90% on the HESI. So nervous!! Goodluck to all!

88 points is great! Which campus/program are you applying for? I'm not sure of the average. :/

I emailed the staff assistant if the ASN program this past Monday:::

I turned in my application last Thursday for the Transitions program. Is there any way I could find out how many applicants applied for transitions and what the average admission points were this cycle? I will understand if that information cannot be disclosed. I'm just very anxious.

Thank you in advance,

Jamee G.

Her response:

I don't have that info. The application period just ended Friday. The applications are received on all 3 campuses and points are not figured out as of yet.

I'm applying for Lee. How about you?

Oh, btw, I emailed Lee staff assistant yesterday, too and she said they didnt know the number of applications turned in but there was a lot. I dont know how much is a lot, but I hope it wasnt over 200. Lol then I might have a chance. Ahh...

She also said we will be notified by email regardless if we get accepted or not.

EDIT: I emailed her back right now. She said it was well over 200 applications turned in. :( I think I am out for sure then.

Oh no. 200+ Is a lot. That makes me nervous! !!!

don't be discouraged. they received a lot of applications and a lot of those may still have lower scores. that's not to mention that people's circumstances might change and they may not even be able to attend after being accepted. I put Collier as my first pick and just learned that I might have to move to Lee County because of my husband's job. That's kind of freaking me out...

There is no waiting list so if arent accepted then you arent accepted. So if someone decides not to accept that spot remains as is and no one else takes it. Its dumb if you tell me.

I now remember what it was like when I was a kid asking are we there yet?!
