FSW Fall 2015

Florida Southwestern State College formerly Edison State College. I started thread for FSW but it is full with spring applicants. So I decided to start a new one for this upcoming fall.

Who is joining me next fall in nursing?

I plan to apply for Part-time or Lee full time. I have one more semester of pre-requisites. I am taking A&P 1, Micro, College Algebra and Nutrition. Kill me now. :arghh: lol A full time semester of craziness but almost done after that hopefully with pre-requisites with the exemption of A&P 2 and a humanities class.

I plan to take the Hesi in mid Feb or march and retake if needed at the end of April. Schedule has been posted and I plan to study a lot this winter break. So excited but so nervous.

Try not to get discouraged. When I was turning in my application I overheard several people had C's and low HESI scores. When I went to look at my HESI class score average on the site it was pretty low for each individual subject. Probably below average to average. The anatomy average for my class score was only 68!! You guys may definitely still have a chance. :)

And I sure hope we find out within two weeks!! It's not even the deadline and I'm having dreams about getting in and going to school lol. I feel exactly like you do MamiLuv. I have wanted this for a while and I can not see myself doing anything different. I'll be devastated if I don't get in for some reason.

I didnt realize to look at the average. Mine was 72 in a&p and 71 in bio. The rest are low 70s too. I score above the national average in all and definitely above the average in the class.

I hope they definitely look at grades before just looking at hesi and overall points. But still...Thanks for the motivation! I will have to wait and see what happens.

Dont worry, you will get in with your score. I have no doubts!

Seriously if I get in. I will be the happiest woman alive.

Oh my gosh, me too!! I'm still considering adding the Lee full time and driving that far, but it seems like a bit much. I don't think I could handle that drive all week long :(

I think that if we don't get in this tome, we will next time! The spring semester is much easier to get into from what I hear, good news on the horizon!

How does this work? Do they strictly look at points or what?

And mami i am missing two classes. One humanities and AnP 2

Pretty much. They accept the people with the highest points first and go down the list. I am missing the same classes. If I get to Charlotte im taking a&p 2 this summer b in Charlotte w/the same professor I took this semester.

Lee is more competitive so if you dont get into Charlotte there's no hope. Lol

How long is the drive to Lee? Im in nw cape near burnt store road so I'm in the middle if both. Takes me 45 min to get to Lee and 35 min to get to Charlotte. Lee is less miles but more traffic.

Oh well at least I wont be alone if we both dont get in. However, no negativity because we ARE GETTING IN. I hope. Haha. Wishful thinking here.

MamiLuv, professor Ryder?? I'm taking his A&P class in Summer B too!

That's the spirit! We're all getting in! 😉
