frustrated but it happens

Well as some of you may or may not know I have 5 years high risk antepartum experience and today was/is my first day in labor and delivery. The day care called 2.5 hours into my shift and i had to pick up my 3 year old because she threw up. Now I know this happens but does it have to be on my first day? Granted I have had to call out because she is sick but I've nenver had to go pick her up before. Anyway she goes to the doctor today and 10:50. Poor thing.
