Sent my app in last thursday!! Im hoping we wont have to wait too long. Do you know how we find out? Letter, email, phone call? Good to hear how midwive friendly Michigan is as I'm from Ohio. Michigan would be doable for me, although I too would like to see more free standing birth center. Has always been my dream to open one! Hope to meet you all. June 2nd isnt that far away!

They told me that they notify everyone regardless via email 6-8 weeks before orientation. I have heard that they usually notify before that.

Well....I'm out ladies. Im completely devastated my GPA was not a 3.0. I had no idea. I'm sure I was probably the last app reviewed so, good luck to the rest of you!

LovaANurse09, don't fret honey! The same thing happened to me, I had written both essays, had all of my recommendation letters, etc. I went to pick up my transcripts and found out I was one point off. So I took a some credits and bumped it up over the winter break. I just had to wait until the next (this recent) deadline.

LoveANurse09.....so sorry to hear that. Earthmama is right though, there are other options. My backup plan if I don't get in is Chamberlain to finish my BSN (takes about 12 months) then either U of Cincinnati (requires l&d exp) or U of Philadelphia (prefers l&d but will accept maternal health volunteerism). May I ask, did they notify you via email that you did not meet the minimum requirements?

Earthmama3......when I talked to one of the employees the first week of March they said all applications submitted by 02/10 deadline had been reviewed by the admissions committee and scored. They also said they excepted to be able to notify us pretty soon however the other day the fb page said 6-8 weeks before frontier bound. I sure hope it is sooner rather than later. I too am stalking email, fb and this thread to see if anyone has been notified. Going to get a cramp from keeping my fingers and toes crossed LOL!.

Well the week has come and gone with no answer yet! I am so inpatient and ready to know. The more time that passes it seems like the more self-doubt I am having (with really no merit). Maybe next week will bring good news :)

I think the universe is trying to teach us a lesson in patience. I have always considered myself a patient person but this has been quite a test for me too! I am with you NurseJBM!

Well earthmama.....I am a little confused! I think I got in LOL!!!! I did not get an acceptance letter or email but I did get an email from the Frontier IT department at 5:55pm "welcoming" me to Frontier and giving me my school email address. I can't believe that I got in

Yay!!!! Did you get a real email acceptance letter or just the letter from IT? I really don't care how I got notified as long as I got in!!!!!! So happy for us.

I received just the email from IT! If I don't hear anything this morning I will probably email admissions.

I'm so excited that I will be joining class 126 at Frontier this June!! I am currently an Administrator with a hospice organization in TN, but I have worked some OB in the past, and have waited for so long for the timing to be right to go back to school to pursue the dream of being a CNM. I can't wait to meet you all!
