  1. Congratulations Jessica!! I am thrilled to meet you and the rest of our crew. Frontier is a wonderful school being that it fosters a true sense of community. I doubt we will ever feel as though we are alone in this journey. Thank goodness! I am absolutely thrilled and terrified. I had a moment of 'oh crap, what have I gotten myself into' but that faded quickly. :) See you soon!
  2. I received just the email from IT! If I don't hear anything this morning I will probably email admissions. Congrats!!!!
  3. That makes two of us NurseJBM, congrats to you too! I am just elated! What a wonderful day. :) Looking forward to meeting you in June-eeeeekkkkk!!!!
  4. I think the universe is trying to teach us a lesson in patience. I have always considered myself a patient person but this has been quite a test for me too! I am with you NurseJBM! I am just so ready for the next chapter to begin. :)
  5. LovaANurse09, don't fret honey! The same thing happened to me, I had written both essays, had all of my recommendation letters, etc. I went to pick up my transcripts and found out I was one point off. So I took a some credits and bumped it up over the winter break. I just had to wait until the next (this recent) deadline. You've got this! ((Hugs))
  6. I'm glad you made the deadline!! They told me that they notify everyone regardless via email 6-8 weeks before orientation. I have heard that they usually notify before that. This wait is mighty tough! I am now stalking this thread, my emails and FNU facebook page. A watched pot never boils, right? :)
  7. My thoughts exactly. I'm feeling end of next week maybe?? Fingers and toes crossed!!
  8. Thanks for all the good wishes!! Mass is midwife friendly, isn't it? :) I love New England! Which year are you in currently? Is it truly doable to juggle work, family and school?
  9. The area I am in isn't midwife friendly. It will be a real challenge to overcome but change needs to happen!! Hope to meet you too! :)
  10. I am so out of the loop being off of fb! I didn't even realize they extended the deadline. I hope this is a good sign for us! :) I am on the NY/PA line and have been an RN for ten years now, working primarily med/surg and home care. I have zero l&d experience but this is where my whole heart is. Its very tough to get into it here as well. I have talked to many midwives who have strongly discouraged me from working l&d in the local hospitals here. It is definitely not woman centered. OBGYNs rule this part of the country. There are only two birth centers in the whole state of New York-two!!! The midwife is the outcast here. We need more midwives! Sorry for the rant! Best of luck to you as well!! Hope we get to meet in June.
  11. I did! And I too am waiting mighty impatiently! Best of luck to you. :) Do you know of anyone else who has applied? I wonder how large the classes are.
