I'd say keep trying for an RN position! I became a phlebotomist while waiting to get into nursing school. I have kept my license active and have also completed the CEU's. I am just about to finish nursing school myself. For the past year I have tried getting a job as a phlebotomist and have had no luck! Not even one interview! It's ridiculous. It's so hard to get into the hospitals! A recruiter told me not to waste my time applying because they knew I was going to just leave once I get my RN.
