HELLO

i am planing on taking the NCLEX very soon....and i have some questions about it.

i saw here in the forum that many of the threads were about Pearson vue Trick,SATA, Saunders...etc...

what do these words mean? :(

and if there are other "weird" words, please tell me about them :)

thanks...i hope things clear up for me :)

Your profile states you are a student, have you completed your nurse training and applied to a state for licensure?

Few things to be aware of

Saunders = just name of a review book, there are others like Kaplan, Hurst.

SATA = Select All That Apply (one type of question format you may find on the exam)

Pearsonvue trick (check out the big thread discussing this unofficial way of getting your results)

Retrogression = Very long wait for immigrant visa for the US (read the International forum in the region tab above as lots of information on this)

State Boards of nursing where you apply to be a RN in the US = links found at the bottom of the page. Each state will have their own requirements for foreign trained nurses.

thanks for the quick answer... :)

here in israel the program is different-i will be an RN but with a BA (bachelor of arts). can that stop my move to the states?

First' in september i will take the israel test (like nclex...) and than i will take a course that will prepair me for the NCLEX- the study material is not that different but i do know of a couple of subjects we don't have here-like botanics...(am i wrong?)

i will look at the other forums, thanks again.

Botanics? That's botany, or the study of plants. :)

Good luck!

Do not take any courses preparing your for the NCLEX until you have applied to a state and received eligibility to sit the exam.

Moving this to the International forum as you need to finish your training first and then apply to a state.

If you haven't applied for a immigrant visa yet you're in for a very long wait as there are many people ahead of you who have been waiting years for a chance at a visa. If you have a visa already waiting then great your process may be faster. If you do searches on topics that you're interested in you will find many threads with questions and answers. Good Luck
