Was a pretty good day at work yesterday, not too busy, was able to work ahead for today. Also had time to complete a CEU and renew one of my licenses. Took some doing, has some password problems initially but was eventually able to get the state site to work and got the license renewed. Also had time to do a green chili cornbread for tonight's potluck

After work worked out a bit with the dumbbells and then went to the happy hour event with the gay group. Started slow but eventually had 10 or 12 people there.

Today I get to leave work early, thankfully the workload appears to be low, although I will have the side project to work on. After work nothing in particular to do except the potluck. Since I'm getting off early might spend time outside if the weather is nice

Going to be a bit warmer today, in the upper 60s

OMG! I am here, after working with JoeV for more days and back and forth messages than I can count! I may have to follow a long path to get here, as when I click on the little fuzzy black guy with the googly eyes, it still says I am "Newbie". but if I click on the list under that and click "sign out", while it never goes away from saying I am Newbie, I DO get to a page where I can sign in, and even answer here! WOW! I almost don't dare to celebrate too soon, but WOWEE-WOW-WOW!

Quick update, because I have spent so much time on-line I am nearly sick of being on my laptop for hours on end.

Nannie is back in rehab, she had another fall a few weeks ago and broke her pelvis in two places, in addition to her tailbone. They can stand her at the walker, but she can't turn or try to move her feet without a LOT of pain. However, I don't see her bones knitting well enough for them to send her home anytime soon.

Tinker escaped the other day and it took at least 40 minutes of following her up through 5 yards, then across the street and down 9 yards before she ran anywhere near me. When I reached out, all I could touch was her back with the tips of my fingers and she immediately fell over and rolled on her back. WHEW!

I don't know how far back I'll have to go to catch up with y'all's entries/news/etc, and I plan on doing that slowly so I don't burn Tinker out by having my face stuck in the laptop all the time!

Hope to see you again SOON!

Welcome back, Stars!

Goodness. Nannie. I think everyone knew that another fall was probable.

Our band concert went well, I think, last night. Looking forward to a real weekend. I do plan to meet a friend tomorrow to see The Devil Wears Prada.

Good evening!

Joe kudos for earning leaving early. Hope you had a good day.

Welcome back Stars! Yes our status's changed. My current rank is "Enthusiast". Woot! Sorry to hear about nannie because I know that's a painful injury when they move. That Tinker is a mess. Glad she's okay.

I'm sure Dianah is having a good time at the Bluegrass festival.

J22, good luck with the doctor.

Ado, that movie is getting good reviews. I'd like to see it. Maybe I'll go on Tuesday when the AMC rates are cheap and I get senior discount.

I've been reading you all every day, but after responding to Stars the other day I kept getting error messages and wasn't allowed to post.

Anyway, I came and went to North Carolina. My parents are doing okay and my sister is holding up. I took her out one day and we had a five hour lunch and shopping trip. My parents are mobile enough and with it enough to be left alone for a few hours at a time. Dad even cooked some soup while we were out for dinner.

Glad to be home. The drive was over 11 hours and at the tail end the interstate was really backed up with traffic and painstakingly slow the final leg. I left at 4:30 AM. I had planned on leaving at 6:00AM but my body woke me up and I decided to just stay up shower and leave.

I'm off until next Thursday so will have time to recover and do a few chores here and there.

Waffles is at my side and happy to see me.

😂I was so excited to be able to read and post answers here on Breakroom, that when I typed in a message, my fingers stuttered before I got to click on Submit Post! So re-starting my day here and now!

Basically I had written that "Joe V. Astaire" is my HERO! 😂Tears of JOY!

And now since I don't feel so mopey and depressed, I'm starting my day (noontime, naturally) with a much needed shower and shampoo! Then....who knows? I do have a few things I could do, but of course I'm not going to list them, because we all know when I tell y'all my plans, I fail to follow them through. And the things I want to do are not so very overwhelming, so I can do them AT MY LEISURE!

I'm quite sure I will be back later on here, so see ya then!

Is this a repeated submission? I think it is, but am not sure....
