Stars glad the caregiver was there to give you a break

NJ22 surprised to see stuff growing this deep into Winter

Tweety glad the pain continues to improve

Ado hope your trip goes smoothly

Yesterday was pretty good at work despite getting a new case and having to spend time on a side project.  After work was pretty quiet, cleaned a bit and exercised.

Today will be leaving work at 2, every month someone gets to leave 3 hours early as a reward, and this month it was my turn.  So I've tried to minimize the number of things to do today to insure I can leave on time.  Hopefully nothing unexpected will arise that will delay me.  After work plan to stop at the store and the library and exercise

Heavy rain last night and flash flood warnings.  Today shouldn't be any rain, and will be a bit cooler, upper 40s

Gray and overcast again, but I think the rain we are 'supposed to get' will be here in a couple of hours. Of course, it'll probably start when I have to do Nannie-retrieval just before the daycare center closes. I don't care.....I'm already WET! By a cup of coffee I was unwisely trying to balance on the sofa cushion, and the cup said, "Uh-uh! NO WAY!" and over it went under my right (lower) cheek. So, do I have a dry, CLEAN pair of jeans? No, I don't. Oh, well, yes, I have some chinos, so that's taken care of.....as soon as I get up from here sitting on this heavy folded towel, and go up to my room to change.

I am getting a beneficiary check from my older brother's will, and it should be here sometime next week. I sure can use it, but I am going to be VERY conscientious about how I deal with it, save a goodly sum of it, and not blow it all stupidly. There is no one likely to leave me, or give me, any family money. Neither of my siblings have anything to bequeath; my older brother was in the Air Force and I guess that's when he put each of us down as a beneficiary. And, of course we know Nannie refuses to die, so I can't count on that any time soon! At least I am thankful not to be her executrix (is that the word?) of her will, at least I don't THINK I am, but I may be wrong, if hubby was the original executor for Nannie's will, and what was his is now mine.....ugh. Doesn't bear thinking of at this moment, I don't want any tizzy-bells ringing in my already tizzy-brain just now! When it happens (after her passing) it will happen, and at least her lawyer is also my lawyer, so I can ask him any questions I may have at that time. It'll be a doozy, since the iL's get a small percentage of the worth of the house and property.....but I don't have to do the math or figure anything out, that's for the officials to do!

I can't believe it is already the weekend coming up again so soon!  So many of the things I'd like to have time to do ..... I don't have time to do !  Maybe trying to be positive about things, I can say "All in good time." and "All in God's time."

Right now I think it is MY time to go upstairs and change into some dry pants! ???

The rain has held off for now. We went to the demo garden to clean up after the flood, mostly picking up debris left as the water receded, branches and bark mulch. Now we're getting ready to depart to the mountains for an eagle walk and talk tomorrow. I hope it is snowing!
Oof, I given myself a coffee bath or two, usually because a dog jumped on my lap. So sad to waste the coffee.
Safe travels Annie.

Good evening.

Joe, kudos to you for getting to leave early.

Safe travels to Ado

Today I had two patients and my nurses were 6:1.  What a huge difference in my day compared to yesterday when I was free and we were 5:1.  They pulled a nurse to another unit.  Bleh.....

With my post op restrictions being lifted today I am hoping to go to the gym tomorrow and back to my routine of gym and yoga.  Should be okay.

You know, I happened to think that this house will need a heap of fixing up in order to sell it at a good price......ALL the windows need replacing, for one thing. Floors, kitchen, bathrooms, and of course, all the ceilings are covered with that awful stuff that collects dirt and dust and takes a LOT to scrape them all off! Get me one of those HGTV people (but not ALL of them!) to come in and re-do the whole house! At what price? I dunno. I still need a lottery or sweeps win of big, BIG, BIG $$$$ !   ?<notice the eyes are STARS!

Hello all.

Joe, nice to have a few hours off early!

Tweety, hope tomorrow is better, health- and work-wise.

nursej22, I hope you see eagles tomorrow and that it DOES snow!

I have given myself a couple tea-baths while sitting on the couch with a mug nearby.  Oooof!

No Stars, I hope tomorrow is uneventful, Nannie-wise.  And same for Ado and Gma.

We had lunch with oldest on Thurs, and a nice chat.  Today we had reservations for Disneyland but I had an attack of restless legs and got to sleep after 0630.  It was pretty windy today, so when dh came in to wake me up in time to get ready, and heard about my sleep troubles, he was relieved to stay home rather than venture out into the wind for a few hours.  So, I slept in and we have had a quiet day at home.  I made some toffee (poured over roasted almonds), and dh enjoyed that!

We may take a drive up to the mountains this weekend, as both routes are open to Big Bear on the weekends.  It will be interesting to see what repair work has been done on SR 38.

Have a good sleep, will see you tomorrow!
