Stars glad most of the paperwork stuff is close to being completed

Tweety good that you had those old glasses

Hi Ado

NJ22 that seems a lot of trouble just to get a CPAP repaired

Yesterday thankfully neither I nor the coworker I was covering for got new cases, so it proved an fairly easy day. Which was good as I was kind of tired, didn't sleep well the previous night and felt tired and off most of the morning. By the afternoon I felt better. Rest of the day was pretty quiet, stopped by the store and the library and exercised

Slept better last night although the last hour or two was rather fitful. Nonetheless feeling pretty good this morning. Glad the cat doesn't wake me up when I'm asleep, although if I am awake at night he'll come and lay next to me, which is nice. My previous cat didn't do that

Today have a light schedule at work so hopefully that will go well. Have a potluck with the gay group tonight, bringing something from Trader Joe's that I just have to cook and not prepare

For the first time in a couple days no rain anticipated. Will get up to about 80

Good morning!

Joe, hope you have a good day and a good time tonight.

j22, that's ridiculous your son can't get the CPAP fixed.

I'm doing what I tend to do when not working in that I stay up late and get up late. I have to switch that around. 8:30 is late for me. But Waffles does wake me up to be fed by 6AM.

Nothing much going on today. It's "wash the sheets Friday" so I'll get that done.

All I did yesterday was lay around and drink fluids and pee, and load myself up with Vit C and Echinnicea (ACH! I can never spell that right!). I like to pronounce that as if with a Scottish accent: "I canna see ya." 😄 Anyway, I broke a fever sometime early in the morning hours, and when I woke up at 8 AM I decided it would be better to continue sleeping, which I did, until 10:45 AM and I feel MUCH better now ... almost normal !

After I had coffee and walked Tinker, I DID actually do the floor cleaning... well, half the floor, on the side of the bed I get in and out of. And emptied the trash and started a laundry. So, pin a rose on my nose. And it is highly likely I will do some other things toward making this room more manageable, although I am not promising anything specific, because, well, you know ...

Last night on VERA I saw another actor who was a 'copper' in the Scottish mystery I streamed all of to the very end. Anyway, in VERA he was a credible mentally challenged guy instead of the "Right! On it!" Officer he was in the other program, this time by making his eyes wide and vacant. Now that I've been watching so much VERA, I am thinking in a Northeast-England accent like on her show. I hear she said it was a difficult accent to reproduce, but because there were so many actors in the show that had that accent naturally, it was a little easier to correct herself.

I think I will probably watch REACHER next, because I've read all of Lee Child's books with that character. I didn't care for Tom What's-his-face's interpretation as REACHER in the other film a few years back. No way could he act like he was a formidable 6'4"! Anyway, I'll have to see if I like the way this 'for-real' 6'4" actor does with the character. I always pictured a kind of Clint Eastwood type guy, though he was too old for the part.

So, since I can hear it is time for me to switch the laundry to the dryer, I'll do so, then I guess I will potter around in my room with an eye towards tidying it up a little.

joe~ you still didn't tell me what you named your cat! 😺

I've been packing and meal-prepping. Chicken breasts brined for 1 meal, marinated in teriyaki for another. Spaghetti sauce made, cheese grated, most of the food loaded. I put a hold on mail, talked to the neighbor about keeping any eye on the dogs tomorrow. All 3 of our children, plus grandkids and DiL are going to Squamish, BC to ride the gondola. That will be an all day excursion, thus I need to get most packing to leave Sunday for a week of camping near Astoria.

I should bathe the dogs, but I am pooped out.

Joe, it sounds like the new kitty is settling in nicely.

I should have washed the sheets, but dh has had the washer tied up most of the day, although I did get a load of t-shirts washed and dried.

I've agreed to "help" Twin A clean his room this weekend. Yes, he is a 31-year-old man. But I want that room clean and somewhat organized before he starts another semester of school. And I really want it painted but I need Hubs to organize that and he is still occupied with my cousin's car.

Enjoy your travels, J22!
