Good morning. Yesterday's flight was a little late getting in due to rerouting around some weather, but no worries. I've been wearing a mask in public just because I have a covid test Monday and I don't want to screw it up. I would say about 25% of others are wearing masks too. Dh has been here in LV since Monday, and found out one of his coworkers popped positive yesterday. They have been in well ventilated areas all week, so I'm not too worried. I'm going to the fitness center shortly, and then sit by the pool  and read until its too hot. We have reservations for dinner at an Irish Pub where they'll have live music. 

Joe, good that your dad will get a few more days of IV antibiotics. 

Regarding choices about who to patronize: when I was growing up my dad was a strong union man, so there were certain businesses that we never went into, such as Shell gas. I wouldn't go to Chik-fil-a routinely, but I am curious about the claims of how good they are. Dh likes Jimmy Johns, but I hesitate do to the original owner being a big game hunter. I won't go to Hobby Lobby. I don't think little ol' me makes a big difference, but just me being me. 

Yeah, dh doesn't listen to me much health-wise, but my kids do, mostly. At least I've got 'em all vaxxed!

Last night, Hubs suggested we take a drive. Apparently, it's the convertible that's got him in such a good mood. Who knew? So we drove out to the lake and watched the sunset. 

And he had cleaned the kitchen so I came home to a (mostly) clean kitchen. Fixed Italian chicken with lemony spaghetti from Hello Fresh. I tried to contain the mess so he wouldn't gripe and he even helped clean up so yeah, I'll take it while I  can.

I won tickets to a blues festival in eastern OK Labor Day weekend. It was a drawing by the local NPR station. A couple of years ago I won tickets to the university's ballet performance. I think the pool of people who enter for some of their prizes must be fairly small. Hubs says "let's go" about the blues festival. Now to figure out what to do about Gma. 

Last night stepdaughter texted me that her brother had unleashed on her. She and her girlfriend think he is schizophrenic (I don't disagree). She finally agrees with me that we have to act. So I am making the phone calls and trying to figure it out. Hubs can squawk if he wants.

Joe, was it you talking about scheduling a colonoscopy? Well, I just got reminded about a story from our risk  management conference. One hospital is looking to update their preop instructions to be more specific after a patient that was instructed to take clear liquids only thought vodka would be appropriate. He/she came in intoxicated and the procedure had to be rescheduled. So remember: clear liquids are water and Sprite,  not vodka! ?

The GI practice that I go is verrrry specific about dos and don’ts. I’ve bet they’ve seen it all. And I just got a note from the hospital about my upcoming procedure. Apparently I need to quit smoking and heavy drinking. Who knew one could do that in a week, LOL.

Work was torture and I stayed until 8:45 charting.  Just one thing after another after another after another.

Quiet day.

89 degrees and humid, no rain.

I did get things a bit neater in my room, but still haven't kept my date with the vacuum cleaner. Maybe tomorrow.

 Tomorrow will be Saturday for real, though every day feels like Saturday, these daze.
