Dianah chance meetings like that are always nice. Glad the violin case is done

Thanks NRSKaren I'll have to check them out

Tweety your unit does have an awful lot of admissions and discharges

Work was good again, no new cases and no meetings. Odd that I've gone so long without a new case

Rest of the day was pretty quiet, did laundry and worked out with the dumbbells and worked on a shopping list for next week

Today weather seems to be cooperating, so I will go to the Arboretum as planned. Also planning to stop at my old neighborhood at a Moroccan restaurant I like and bake some cookies

Warmer than expected today, will get up to 80, rain should hold off until the afternoon

Good morning.

Woke up at Waffle's breakfast time. Washing the sheets. Will go to Home Depot to get a light fixture for the room reno. They put in new doors and they look good and put in a doggie door that I got. Project is coming along. Most likely they will be finished on time.

Otherwise, I need to get ready for work this weekend by meal prepping but should be easy. I already have a pork roast cooked and ready to slice. Just have to make quinoa to go with it and add some veggies.

Will visit with best friend for a bit to get away from the renovations going on. Might go to the gym if there's time.

I couldn't access the site yesterday when I tried. Today all is fine again.

Joe, my sister made needlepoint Christmas stockings for my nephews (before I was even married). I did cross-stitch stockings for our kids. I have one made years ago by a church friend for me that is crewel embroidery. And I pieced and quilted one for Hubs. Nephew's wife does a lot of very tiny, very detailed cross-stitch.

I must say, Tweety, that some of your days sound exhausting between not having a tech for everyone and all the admissions and discharges. I remember days like that and it could be ... energizing, I guess ... but mostly exhausting.

Meanwhile, our inpatient census remains very low.

Hello to all.

Hello. It looks to be another mild day here, sunny but cool. The Japanese cherry trees are in full bloom, with clusters of pink or white blossoms. Usually we get a big wet storm just as they bloom and it wrecks them, but they are nice today. I sat in on sis's tele appointment with the NP from the cardiology office and I am not impressed. She had a cardioversion, remains in sinus rhythm, but now they are pushing another ablation. I had a rather negative experience with my last ablation, so I am trying not to insert myself into her decision making, but its hard.

Today I need to finish cleaning the tools we are going to donate, and wipe the handles with linseed oil. I should go to the grocery too, ugh. Our local store seems increasingly dirty, most of their products are either the generic label, and poor quality, or fancy, expensive brands. And the produce is meh and pricy. Tomorrow I am manning an information booth for the master gardeners.

Hello all!

Enjoy time off from work, and re-charge yourself.

I had a hard time sleeping last night, even with a sleep aid. Oh well. I woke when I heard the alarm go off. Got up, dressed, and drove the violin cases over to fiddler's house, to deliver. Then I stopped by AAA on my way home, to get our last vehicle registration of the year. We've had lunch, watched the last portion of an Inspector Morse episode, and I will probably take a short nap.

Fiddler liked the work we did on the case -- at least it isn't falling apart, like it was before the work! She said every time she'd open the case, something would rip or tear farther. She said she can use the new case, too: "I have another case that is falling apart too, so yeah, I can use it!" Good! A satisfactory ending to that adventure!

There is a chance of rain tomorrow, we'll see how that goes. We have not much planned, except for going up to Oak Glen on Sunday to hear friends play.

At the risk of upsetting any juju, may I say the site has been running smoothly the last day or two?

Have a good evening!
