I FAILED the NCLEX, just found out few hours ago so depressing, I almost broke my computer, I was doing well then I notice that I was running out of time so I panic. Started put in answers to try and finish...bad idea... I didn't know that if you run out of time they still calculate your last 60 questions...unfortunately my last 60 or so I rushed thru so whatever I did prior does not count. Maybe they should inform you about this prior to taking this test and risking $200, isn't it enough of a mind game. Thanks for listening.

Hey there! Sorry to hear that you didn't pass! Don't give up now! Just curious though - did it take you all 6 hours to complete the questions then?
caliotter3 Thanks... I'm getting really to go at it again...done feeling sorry for a stupid mistake. All ready went shopping!!!!
brainfried yeah...I like to take my time but I didn't realize how much time I took until I looked at the clock I rather focus on the questions, and to tell you the truth it didn't seem that long, I took a quick restroom break but that's it...whatever what's done is done... I learned from that mistake.

Sorry to hear this. For the next time, I would suggest the free Kaplan NCLEX-RN Strategy Seminar online so you know how the test works. The more you know, the better, right? Actually, I think there's one tonight. You should check it out (click on "Find a Free Event"): NCLEX Preparation | Guaranteed NCLEX Results with Kaplan Test Prep

It took me 4.5 hours just to answer 140 questions. i walked out of there feeling like i had failed and immediately came to this site to look up other people's thoughts about their nclex to find some sort of comfort, but 2 days later my license was posted on the bon, a nice surprise to say the least. however, i took my time on each question because believe me you won't feel like your making the definiate right choice about any of the answers you pick. this exam is less about content knowledge and more about using your and using your instincts (gut feeling) and insight to pick up on hidden clues to assess or treat the patient that is in "silent" distress or who needs attention first according to abc (airway breathing circulation) or maslow. this test targets your weak areas so try to read up on the stuff you don't know about. for me it targeted psych and eye problems which i new nothing about but it kept giving me questions on these topics which made me feel like i was gonna fail. try to be mindful of time, but never rush through. its nerve racking i know. take comfort in the fact that the majority of nurse grads pass this exam and honestly you only fail it if you either rush though without taking the time to think through each questions (no matter how long it takes) or if you just completely did not study effectively and learn the nclex rules of priority questions (abc, maslow, etc...). my thoughts are with you.
