Foreign Bsn Vs. U.s. Bsn

I'am confused. when you are a foreign BSN graduate and then took the nclex-rn in the U.S. and passed, is this mean that you are not only an RN but also a BSN title? please advice. thanks

BScN/BSN is a degree granted by a university.

RN is achieved by passing the NCLEX

Most badges only state RN, they do not list degrees as it is not really important for most jobs. Experience means much more than just a degree.

The BSN is actually just a degree, it is not a license. Unless a job specifically requires it, it really does not make a difference.

Yes, that's it. BSN is a degree. You deserve to use it because you earned it(unless of course it came from a "diploma mill" like the ones in Recto, Philippines as often said by an immigrant lawyer in his show).

It is not used most of the time on badges or anything else in the US, only the first initial, last name, as well as the license obtained, which would be RN. You do not see people writing their degree after each signature when charting.

Having obtained it and writing it each time are two very different things. I do not sign with my degrees with each and every entry nor are they ever listed on my badges.

Just is not any reason for it. Skills and experience are much more important and than actual alphabet soup.
