I just had my 90 day review and my manager says that she would like a more experienced nurse on day shift and is moving me to nights next month I was hired for days and doing this would cause me to change me and my sons life around not to mention I would have to start paying for child care which is not in my budget can see do this?

In today's world it seems they are allowed to do whatever they want to do with employees.
I have seen this happen to other nurses. If they refuse, they get fired. I had a nurse friend
who was forced to change her shift. She was absolutely furious. She died of a heart attack
after about 30 days on the new shift.

Unfortunate.
If it's a genuine hardship, you really should let your manager know how it affects you & your family & see if she'll reconsider.

It would be interesting to see which one of your manager's friends gets the day shift opening.

unless you have a union, she can do this. you do realize that jobs are hard to come by in this economy, right?
