Florida BON app timeframe

I am applying for the RN by examination in Florida, coming from an out-of-state program and I was wondering for those of ya'll who've already gone through the process, about how long did it take for the BON to process your application? I submitted mine on May 16th and have yet to hear back from them, I've tried calling the customer service number to no avail. Should I just keep waiting? Does the ATT come through e-mail, mail or other means? Completing the BON application, fingerprinting, school transcript, registration with Pearson-Vue; is there something I am missing?

Thank you.

I submitted mine on the 14th of May. After two weeks, I emailed and called them. I got my ATT via email the next day.

I took NCLEX and waited 7 business days for my license to post, and when it didn't, I called again. My license was posted the next day.

That's also been the trend with my classmates as well. If you bug them, they handle it.

Good luck!

Ugh. Its taking that long for License to post. Sigh.

They told me there was a glitch in the system, so I called and nagged them, then they posted it the next day. Give them a call, just be prepared to stay on hold for an hour to get someone.

So I sat for NCLEX on 6/15 @ 8 AM. My results didn't post on FL BON until the late afternoon on 6/16. So if anyone is wondering sometimes they don't batch out in the morning & also like poster said above for some people there is a glitch and it seems for most license # is up the next day.

FINALLY got my application approved from FL BON...in one and a half months no less. Turns out they misplaced my supporting documentation. Definitely requires nagging for them to get stuff done.

I had the opposite experience. I found that the FL BON was very fast for me. Much faster in fact than the northeast state that I went to school in.

HI!! I also want to get my Florida license but I am attending college in PA. I have done some research on how to get this done but can you give me some tips? I would really appreciate it!!

The application is pretty straightforward online. In terms of supplemental documentation, you complete the CBC (fingerprinting) at an approved FL vendor and for those coming from out-of-state, you submit an official transcript indicating that you completed and graduated from your school's nursing program. Expect around a month-long wait after you submit your application for the ATT though, it's pretty long. Good luck!

Yes, the FL BON is surprisingly fast with updating NCLEX results! I tested on a Thursday at 2PM and they had my results + license number updated on their site the next morning!
