Fl BON

Hi Everyone,

I applied for Re-Take NCLEX RN in FL BON this is going to be my 3rd time taking it but for some reason they wanted me to do remedial course because I took 2 NCLEX RN Before in different state and failed.. I dont know what they are trying to impose about "regardless of the jurisdiction"..

I dont know why I cant take it for the 3rd time in FL...

Overall I took NCLEX 4 times already I dont if they means All 4 failed including different state?

    ... Then why are you applying to FL? You need to be directing & your questions to the NV BON. You are making this waay more complicated than it needs to be.

    If you plan to live in Nevada then apply to NV BoN.

    You cannot take the NCLEX in Florida again without taking a remedial course. The amount you spent for applying to FL & test fees you could have taken a remedial nursing refresher course, applied to NV BoN and possibly passed the NCLEX by now. You have already spent $800 on test fees alone. Plus applying to at least 3 states with non refundable app fees..

    Why not apply to the state where you wish to live and work? If you failed 4 times clearly you are in need of remediation. IENs are not taught the same way as U.S. nurses hence the

    Why not set yourself up for success. Kaplan offers a NCLEX prep class for IENs. Costs much less than $800 in repeat test fees.

    And you were lucky. Had you not passed the exam on the fourth go-round, you would have been out more testing fees, more application fees, and still not had a license. With the odds of passing being what they are, it makes more sense to take the remediation and increase one's chances than to throw a Hail Mary and hope to pass.

    Your experience is the exception, NOT the rule, ESPECIALLY when talking about a foreign-educated candidate (as what's being discussed here). Their chances are dismal as it is.

    Congrats on your passing, but I honestly wouldn't recommend that route to anyone.
