First nursing test#

Published

My first fundamental test is coming up this week and I don't know how to study for this type of test. She said it would be nclex style questions. Its over the first 2 chapters. The first chapter is like the history of nursing then the second one talks about chronic, acute, stages of illness etc.. I have had nclex questions before but I don't understand how she will get that style out of this material.

I did a quick search and found i quizlet: https://quizlet.com/40949875/nurs-ch-3-nclex-flash-cards/

Throughout nursing school, I would pick a topic, and google "topic nclex style questions" and typically quizlets or similar materials would pop up.

For the history chapter, I would read it completely and then try to focus on information that is emphasized in the book... especially topics which are repeated or have longer explanations.

Specializes in Med/Surg, Oncology.

It might be too late, but in the future, I would look into "Fundamentals Success".

google"topic nclex q&a" and also study boxes, charts, italics, and skills. :)

I would write the test questions and rationales ..lots of writing I know but it helps you by learning how to write your own test questions or predict questions in the future. so first do end of chapter question and the whole goal is to figure out why one answer is right and others wrong and how can you make the wrong answers right? create a test question to make it right. first test is always difficult because not sure how teacher will test but once you take the first one, instantly write down where teacher got the test questions from and highlight or mark it so you know in future
