First Job Interview ever.....

Hello I'm hoping for some advice! I just got out of nursing school in May and FINALLY have my first job interview on Thursday....unfortunately for me, I haven't had a job since I was like 19 which was 10 years ago and I'm super nervous about the interview :uhoh21:

I'm hoping that I can get some tips and pointers to help ease my fears alittle bit! Anything would be helpful!

Look up interview tips and questions on the internet, and practice answering these questions on anyone you can get to role play with you. Practice in front of a mirror. After the interview, you will feel a little better having got through it. Good luck.

Send a thank you note to whomever you interviewed with after you interview. Smile.

Wear a suit.

Bring extra copies of your resume and cover letter since you may not know how many people you are interviewing with.

Have a nice strong hand shake.

Not too strong, you dont want to injure anyone, but strong enough to show you are confident and motivated.

GOOD LUCK!

Force yourself to breathe slowly, count to at least 4, before answering their questions and have a list of your own questions ready for them. Also do not, under any circumstances TELL them you're nervous or nervously laugh.....

Be willing to tell them, "I don't know the answer to that question, but I am open to learning."

And don't forget to email a TY card, or leave a TY voicemail, etc......
