I am hoping to attend NSC for summer school & hoping to take some much needed pre-req biology courses. However, I have been attending school full-time this school year Fall & Spring (getting aid). I have a 0 EFC & 2 kids. I usually get max aid... But my situation now is that I probably won't be able to attend unless I get financial aid.
*Has anyone received financial aid at NSC or CSN even after they got aid & attend the full school year FT? If so, how many classes did it cover?
*as a side question-has anyone had problems (w/ financial aid) while attending CSN's program since it is only 1/2-3/4 time?? Thank you!

First off contact the school.
I paid two summers ago with financial aid through NSC and it was well worth it the time going out to their campus and taking the class. I ended up staying there and going through their nursing program.
Set up the financial aid through them and they deffer it till the fall (at least thats what they did in my case).
Love that school and again..worth the trip from N LV to Henderson.

I am third semester full time nursing at CSN. I love the program but have had nothing but problems with the financial aid department. I attended a University 90+ credit hours before this program and never had the problems I have had with CSN. CSN NCLEX pass rate is very high and the program is great but I was denied financial aid my second to last semester and my appeal was denied (you are only allowed two appeals during your student life so if second one is denied your SOL) and I am not the only one. My financial aid has not come on time once and I start the process months in advance. I am working on my second appeal now but am getting the run around trying to get the appropriate letters. Please consider going to the department and seeing for yourself before you consider either school. Good luck!
