FGCU Nursing Program Fall 2016

I haven't seen a thread for FGCU nursing Fall 2016, probably because it's so early, but I figure I start one anyway. I am applying to both FGCU and UCF for fall nursing 2016. I currently attend Palm beach state college in lake worth Florida. I just finished my AA degree and have a 3.7 GPA. I am planning on taking my Teas test in November. If I get accepted into FGCU I want to live off-campus and would like a fellow nursing student roommate to make the transition easier. Can't wait to hear from the rest of you!

I took the Teas 3 times. The first time I got a 73% the second a 76% and the third a 76%. I study extremely hard and know the material very well. Standardized tests just aren't for me.

That's exactly how i feel. I've never done well on them, it gets discouraging after awhile

I do not do so well on them either, hopefully we still get in

Hi Everyone! I have an overall GPA of a 3.6 and a score of 74% on TEAs. But I have not finished all my prerequisites and filled out the supplemental form since I am currently taking them. Not sure if I'll get in, but there is always spring!

Anxious to find out!!!.... Does anyone know about what date they start sending them out?

All I know is that the website says 8-10 weeks after the deadline and the deadline was Feb 1

Hiya! I have a 3.57 GPA and I got a 93% on the TEAS! The next few weeks seriously cannot go by fast enough

I saw that someone had a GPA question earlier in the thread...

Your GPA on Gulfline will differ from the GPA calculated on Nursing CAS. You can see more about how they calculate the GPA under the frequently asked questions on their website. They also break down the GPAs into sub categories.

If you log into NursingCAS, click check status. Under "my programs" click on FGCU for a dropdown. There is a PDF that can be downloaded to review all your "verified" info, including GPAs.

I also took this verbatim off of FGCU's faqs for Nursing B.S.N....

  • Although there is no minimum required TEAS score, the average program percentile rank score of admitted students varies every semester depending on the admission pool. The average score for the Fall 2015 admission cycle was in the 79 percentile range.

In case anyone was curious about TEAS score averages, I believe they go off of the "program percentile" rank, not necessarily your "adjusted individual" score.

My GPA for pre reqs is a 4.0, however, I'm still finishing a few prereqs this current semester. I hope not having them all finished before the deadline reflects negatively ?

Overall GPA is a 3.28

TEAS is an 84

Hope my decent TEAS makes up for the lower GPA!

Good luck to everyone!
