FGCU Nursing Program Fall 2016

Published

I haven't seen a thread for FGCU nursing Fall 2016, probably because it's so early, but I figure I start one anyway. I am applying to both FGCU and UCF for fall nursing 2016. I currently attend Palm beach state college in lake worth Florida. I just finished my AA degree and have a 3.7 GPA. I am planning on taking my Teas test in November. If I get accepted into FGCU I want to live off-campus and would like a fellow nursing student roommate to make the transition easier. Can't wait to hear from the rest of you!

I am also applying for FGCU.

Prerequisite GPA- 3.44

College GPA- 3.7

TEAS- have not taken yet. Will take in January

So glad to hear from someone! I took my Teas test and I received a 79:/ I'm retaking it in the beginning of January. I've been studying like crazy!

That's still not a bad TEAS score. You will even do better the second time. I am studying also like crazy!

I am currently transferring from another college and I hope they evaluate my transcripts on time so that I can send in my application by February 1st!

Which college are you transferring from? I am also transferring. I went to Palm Beach State a college for my AA degree in lake worth florida

I am transferring from State College of Florida in Sarasota. Have you had your transcripts evaluated yet? I heard it takes awhile and Im hoping it will get done before the deadline

When will you take the teas?

How do you know when they've been evaluated? I sent mine and everything else in and I received an acceptance letter from the university. I plan on taking the Teas around the 12th of January

Well then you probably are all set. They should show up on your transcript on the campus portal. When you sent them your high school transcripts, did you hand deliver them or did you mail them yourself? I have a sealed official copy at home but some colleges want it directly from the school.

I take mine Jan 11th

My high school gave it to me in a sealed envelope and I sent it myself.

How was this science portion of the teas? I'm worried about that!

The science portion wasn't that bad, it was pretty straight forward. What are you using to study ?

I'm using the ATI book, and the practice tests in McGraw hill. I am doing poorly on the McGraw hill tests. Everything else I am great at, it's just science. Never took physics or a high chemistry class. What did you use?
