OMGEEEE I finally found someone that feels exactly the way I do. I am currently awaiting acceptance at Fayettville Tech. I am am super super nervous. I think we have about 2 wks to go and I am on an emotional roller coaster. I was in the info session that was held on 4/2/12. This is the only school that I applied for. So hopfully I get in and see you there.

Moved to NC Nursing Programs forum for more of a response.

FTCC's nursing program is unorganized and overall a poor experience. If you are someone looking for a top notch education, I would navigate you to look into Robeson or Sampson community college. I wished someone would have told me how poorly this program is managed. Trust me - they will try to fail you out.

I go to Robeson! I graduate in May! Our programs has certainly gone through many changes in the past few years, but good ones! The past 3 years our pass rates have been above 91%. This last year we got a 100% pass rate! Our class will be the next to continue the 100% legacy!

So did you end up going through with your ADN here? I plan on attending Fayetteville Tech soon

Hi this is niqua8604 from above ^^ I have since changed my user name.. I was awaiting acceptance back then and now I can proudly say that I start my final semester in a couple weeks. Graduation May 2014.

I'm glad to hear you graduate in May, I'm just headed to my first nursing info. session at FTCC April 8th and had a couple questions for you. How well do you feel FTCC's ADN program has prepared you for the field and for the NCLEX? Also, how soon after the initial info. session were you notified that you were accepted? Thank you! :-)

If you have the option at this point. Try applying to Robeson or Sandhills. Like one of the previous commenters said, this program is an unorganized hot mess. Most of the teachers are great up there and want the best for you. But as far as the higher ups, they don't know how to run that program and it's getting left in the dust compared to other programs.

I will never return to that college. I have had nothing but bad experiences all around.

Thanks RNgraduate! I decided to goto Sandhills and start in August. They appear to very organized and motivated to help their students be successful.

Awesome! Congratulations!

yes I have heard great things about Sandhills and would have gladly made the 1 hour drive if someone had forewarned me.

from what I hear they really work hard to help you in your success as a nurse and not just in your ability to pass a board exam. They take the time to actually sit with you and remediate.

Thanks! I'm excited. I plan to take the additional year for a BSN. Any suggestions on who's better in that regard? I know UNC Pembrook works with Samdhills but hadn't heard anything about the program.

So ftcc is bad I just don't want to drive an hour for school I can do 15 minutes but that's far but I guess to eachs own
