I have the book but is it really like the hesi book? Everything in the book seem so basic so I was wondering was it exactly like that or similar. How many questions is on the test and science isn't included, correct? Are you able to skip around to each section or you only have to stay in that particular section? Can you elaborate plaese? Thanks in advance!

I took the HESI exam one time towards the end of nursing school-- and it was a tough test, you really have to know your stuff. The book seems simple, so practice nclex type questions. Read the book, and practice that CD that the book comes with. I don't remember being able to skip questions-- I remember that you can go back and change your answers to the questions but I think that you have to stay within the same section.
I got a 636 in that test---- and that's pretty bad (but it did not count so I did not care!)
Does anyone have any pointers on passing the HESI test for FAU? Also, what is included on the test, well I know what three sections but do you recommend studying something extra? All info is very helpful and greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and have a good one!
Hey BML
The worse you can do is freak out and not do well. The exam is fairly easy just study fron the book and really go over the vocab and reading (or whatever your weakness is. The math portion has a calculator just know what the basic steps are. But like I said before DONT FREAK OUT
I just took the HESI about a week ago. It was very straightforward. It's on 4 sections: Math, Vocab, Grammar, and Reading Comprehension. I averaged a 92. I got a 100 on the math portion. They also let you use a calculator. Just study the book. Make sure to go over the Vocab, and Grammar sections, I got a little stumped on those.
It's been almost 2 years so I don't remember the details, but if you use the HESI study guide you will be fine. I just made sure to review the basic math and the grammar sections. Reading comprehension was not exactly what I expected (I was thinking you would read paragraphs, but I seem to recall that it was more like figuring out the answers to the questions based on reading tables and advertisements).
