Fall 2020 USF BSN Program

Hi everyone, I decided to make a post about USF’s BSN program because I hadn’t seen one already created. I just submitted my application but I don’t feel very confident, I have a 4.0 prerequisite gpa but my overall gpa is a 3.22, I am a current USF student. I hope someone can give me insight into if I have a chance or not. Good luck to everyone applying.

Just wanted to give you a little insight. I applied last year with a 3.78 overall GPA and 3.77 pre-req GPA and was waitlisted for the program, and am applying again this year with a 3.83 overall GPA. On the statistics page, the program states the average accepted GPA was a 3.9.

I'm aware of the statistics page. I don't feel confident because of my overall GPA although my prerequisite GPA is good, I am also applying to HCC. Good luck I hope you get in this time.

3.7 overall and 4.0 prereq. I hope it works out! Still waiting to hear if I got an interview.

I'm referring to the upper division program, which is just the regular BSN track.

Hi guys I applied too! Application period is officially over so I can't wait to hear back about interviews next week? Are you guys transfers or current USF students? I am on the pre-nursing track here already ?

Hi! I'm a current pre-nursing student at USF. I have a 3.88 overall GPA and a 3.81 pre-req GPA. Currently dont think I have the best chances of getting in, but I'm super hopeful!! Application is officially closed, good luck to you guys!! ?

@futurenursezahra Your GPA definitely seems high enough to get an interview! And once you get one, the interview will really be the deciding factor on whether you get in. So, I wouldn't stress too much about your chances, I'm sure you'll rock it! I'm getting really nervous about the interview though and I keep going over example questions trying to perfect my answering techniques LOL

SAME, I've been reviewing basic nursing interview questions on quizlet all week ?. Do you guys know when the interviews are scheduled? Are we gonna find out if we got an interview early next week? I know a comment above said Friday should be when we find out, but does that mean interviews are over Spring break?

@futurenursezahra At the end of last month, I did a mock interview with a nursing advisor. She told me that interviews are tentatively scheduled for the week following Spring break, most likely running from Monday-Wednesday (3/24-3/26). But, she told me they aren’t 100% sure yet! I requested those days off of work just in case. I do think we will get the email about it by the end of next week.
