Fall 2020 El Centro Nursing Program Applicants

Hey Everyone!

I wanted to start a new thread for Fall 2020 applicants at El Centro, since I didn't find one already here. Let's see if we can help eachother out and answer some questions for eachother. Currently, I have 35 points, but will be applying with about 40, I believe. I'm wondering if that is competitive? Also, I need to get my physical, titers, and vaccines, but don't have health insurance. Any ideas where I can get them done at a decent price? I found a website but I am not sure if they will accept stuff from there....

Okay this may be a dumb question but how do you know if DCCCD has gotten your transcripts? I sent mine in over a week ago and I’m not sure where to look since I’ve never actually taken classes there.

If they've been evaluated already, you should be able to go on econnect > credit student > My personal information > My Advising Report (GPA) ....

Pass up the classes you've taken at DCCCD and there's a section for "Transfer"

Okay so my advising report isn’t showing anything. Is it possible that they have my transcripts but they just haven’t put the information in yet?
I’m just kind of paranoid because one time I sent transcripts to a school and they claim they never got them so I don’t want this to be the same case.

I'm finally compliant in Castle branch (yay!) so now I need to get a transcript but other than that I hope I can apply Monday. How is everybody else doing?

Yes it should look like this. Mine says Fall 2019 but it will suffice for this year as well.

I dont think I can be compliant bc of the flu shot. It says I need the current one from this year and those flu shots aren't out yet.

I would still get your flu shot before January 31 and upload it. They are aware that according to dates, some students will get their flu shots at different times of the year. I get mine in October every year from my job. However, call and find out who's responsible over the immunizations and ask them if you can still get a flu shot today and be compliant.

How long did it take for all your documents to be viewed in cleared in Castle Branch. I think I may have waited to long to start.

I started my package last year so I've had a lot of time to get done lol

Just wanted to let you all know if you are interested in the PCT residency program at UT Southwestern, the application period is open NOW! So go ahead and apply and if you'd like to use me as a reference, go ahead

Hey y’all!

Just found this thread while I was googling the average points of nursing applicants for El Centro. I wish they had something that gave an idea of what a competitive score would be!

I’m a Fall 2020 applicant to El Centro (Northlake and El Centro campus). I have 40 points and am hoping that’s enough to get me accepted!

I had some trouble with the immunization/titers. Just FYI, the dean said if you’ve already had the immunization but have a low titer, they will accept the low titer and one dose of the immunization that the titer was low in. That helped me out since I wasn’t expecting a low titer and didn’t have enough time before the application deadline to receive the two doses.

Good luck to you all!!
