Failing Micro

I have to take microbiology before my 2nd year of nursing school. But I decided to get it over with and take it online this summer. Well, what a mistake. I have been studying and taking the quizes I got a 75 on my first quiz and now I have to take the 2nd one. They do give you 3 tries and you can print out the answers from the ones you took and study from them. I did all the lab quizzes and did OK I passed them all at least. I have to get a C in this class. I do think if I fail it I can take it next summer at least I hope so.

Is this your first online class? How do you do in other classes? I had to find out the hard way that online class wasn't for me. If you think you may fail and "hope" you can retake it again...you better make sure that is an option. Are you able to communicate with the instructor on a regular basis? The information from micro can be very important in your future studies.

I would drop the class before final grades before taking a failing grade that will remain on my record and drag my GPA down. If you want to take a "C" do it, but I'd probably drop for that reason too if a higher grade was more important. It's easier to explain a "W" (withdrawal) than an "F" on your transcript.

I am felling a little bit better today. I took my quiz and got a B- on it. And I am studying very hard for my test tomorrow. She said that the test questions come from all the quizzes so I printed out the answers to the quizzes and will study my heart out between now and test time. I am already accepted into nursing school so my GPA really dosent matter as long as I get a 2.0 in the class that is considered passing. I think I can do it.

Thanks
