Depends on BON/BRN to whether there is a limit or not. Would suggest Suzanne's plan and you can find all information as sticky

Never lose hope.Just believe and stay focus and just think that it is not the right time yet.So keep your hopes up and be brave to face the challenge.Goodluck

Depends on what state you're registered in. Which state did you register your Boards with?

You can try the Hurst Review...

It depends what state you are in most states allow you to take it as many times as need be as for florida huhhh horrible state I may add, allows you 3 times after that you must do a remidial that costs over $1300 and is very difficult.. if you dont live in florida you should be ok ...hope it helps.. worse that can happen if your state limits you just apply to another state via application online from the state website fill it out pay the fee money always works,, and you should be ok.. but take the exam at a local perason vue center in your area this way you will not have to do the remidal if your state requests it.Also VIP I JUST FOUND OUT THAT NOT ONLY DO YOU HAVE TO PAY AGAIN FOR THE APPLICATION TO REAPPLY FOR A LICENSE THAT YOU NEVER RECIEVED TO THE STATE OF NURSING IN WHICH YOU LIVE IN, THE MONEY YOU PAY TO TAKE THE RE EXAM AT PEARSON VUE $200 DOESNT GO TO THEM IT GOES TO THE STAE BOARDS OF NURSING THEY HAVE A CONTRACT WITH THEM AS THERE VENDOR..PEARSON VUE ONLY GETS A VERY SMALL PERCENTAGE, SO ASK YOURSELF NOW WHY SO MANY PEOPLE ARE NOT PASSING ,I DID WHEN I FAILED AND I AM A 4.0 STUDENT THEY HAD NO ANSWER FOR ME....ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY AND WHO YOU ARE NOT WHAT YOU KNOW TRUST ME....ALL I CAN SAY IS I AM NO WAY GIVING UP....

You went to nursing school and the foundation is there. You have the ability to pass this exam. You should look into your particular state board of nursing to find out specifically how many times in a year you can take the nclex. Many state BONs have it where you can take it every 45 or 90 days but I have not seen limits on times in a year. Either way that doesn't stop you from taking the nclex outside of your state and then endorsing it through to where you want to practice. Evaluate the way you studied both times and see if you can come up with a different plan this time. Kaplan and the nscbn both have very good and extensive review programs. If you are anxious during the test try to find a way to relieve yourself of that because nerves can play a large factor in preventing you from being focused. Best of luck to you. I hope the third time's the charm.

I was a first time NCLEX-RN taker as of Aug 20th. Found out yesterday that I failed. The computer stopped at 77. When I found out, I was devasted, cried all day yesterday and felt like a HUGE FAILURE. I feel embarrased and dumb. Weird to say but crying has helped me. I understand and feel the same way. I'm planning to start studying for the second test. I used Kaplan for the first one and found it didnt help me at all. The best thing to do is:

" Take a deep breath, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, start all over again."

We can do this. Just because we fail, doesn't mean we are not going to be Great Nurses in the future..

You will get there, the important thing is not to give up. Good luck
