I took my Nclex Pn today and I failed. I can't even describe how I feel but those of you that have been here know what I mean. I don't even know where to begin now. I studied but I guess not enough. The more I studied the more I started to forget and everything was just a big blur. I feel disoriented and lost. I don't know how to start, where to start, what am I lacking.

Was this your first time taking it? I failed on Monday for the fourth time.
It was my first time. I'm so sorry! Any idea what you are missing? Have you changed strategies?

Sorry to hear that, I took it last month and failed I know how you feel. What you need to do is know your content break down each area thats they test you on the nclex. Study that area than do questions when you do the question and you score 70% and better move on to the next area and to the same thing and you will pass. Before I was getting 60 to 64% on kaplan and now Im getting 70 to 76% it works.
I did change my strategy this last time, but I think I didn't put enough study time in. I felt the third time I took it I sometimes studied too much for long periods of time with not much break time. This resulted in me not remembering half of what I studied and feeling exhausted at the end. I also didn't do enough practice questions. I learned this time around that if I study and take small but frequent breaks I retained more info. I also did more questions because the rationale does help. I really think I just need to be more diligent about my study habits and answer way more questions. I'm also going to go over Kaplan's test taking strategies again and keep going over them so I don't forget. I also want to do the Kaplan's Qbank if I can afford it because their questions are more challenging than others I've seen and that is the kind of information I need. Last but not least, I just really need to work on my test taking anxiety because I think that might be the biggest problem.
