Failed the Jurisprudence in TX

Published

okay so i found out i passed thru quick result. Good news. Bad news is I failed the Jurisprudence hehehe... I think I was super excited about the good news that i took the 50 item test for granted.. Now they said I can take it again in 7 days.

My question is "Will my Name still appear in Tx BON when they update their website next week?" Or it wont appear there till i pass the jursiprudence. Thanks.

What the heck is jurisprudence

Lol I was going to say the same thing?!?

Anybody from Texas has any idea? :)

If passing the jurisprudence exam is a condition of licensure then you will not be issued a license until you pass the exam. Prepare and retake the exam in 7 days

It's a test that Texas gives to Medical personnel, to see if they know the laws I guess.

You must have been very excited to not pass the 50 test question because according to the BON website they let you use their website & other sites to answer their questions while you take the test lol

Anyway it doesn't say anything about it affecting your licensure!! But then again it does say its a requirement:

"Once a passing result is recorded, Board Staff will be notified and the jurisprudence exam requirement will be updated as completed in your BON file. Keep the certificate for your records. Do not mail the certificate to the BON."

I would email them to clear your mind!!

I didn't even know they had this test till now. I never heard anyone else mention it on here either, so thanks now I know when it's my turn.

Here's a link to read for your next try:

yeah.. lol.. it's kinda embarrassing.. lol I didn't open any webpage or read before i took it. I just actually answer it as it it. At the end of the test, you get percentage of diff topics. I think i got like 75,85,85,90, and 46% for NPA...

That's funny!! It's cool that they let you open the different web pages to help you. That link has resources you can use for next time. U did good except for that 46% that's what messed u up. I'm glad I know about that test, had no idea. Ahhhh Texas!!

yeah.. I forgot about that. lol, anyway Im just so happy that I passed nclex. I'll make sure to get 100% on jurisprudence next 7 days. LOL
