Extremely anxious!

Published

I took the NCLEX PN today 12/29/14. I have been upset and depressed since I finished...I got shut off at 85 questions. About half of the questions were "select all that apply" format. I barely remember the test and I feel like I failed miserably. I graduated a couple weeks ago with a 3.8 GPA. I past all ATI tests and Saunders practice tests. My ATI predictor said I have a 96 % chance of passing my first time. I did 100 or more practice questions every day before this test. I have to wait 2 days for quick results but this feeling is awful!

A normal reaction from someone who sat the exam, take a few deep breaths and find something to distract you whilst you wait for results

I'm totally with you. tested yesterday on the RN and shut off after 75. There's NO way I am smart enough to pass it in 75. SATA's are my weakest question style and I also had a ton of those. I'm sick to my stomach with worry and not feeling very confident. I am also VERY impatient for tomorrow to roll around! Try to do something fun and not think about it in the meantime, though I know how very difficult that is. Good luck!!

Hang in there, both of you! It's a very, very rare person who walks out of that testing center feeling confident. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that most of those who passed in 75 questions (or 85, in PN) FELT that they'd passed! It's an anxiety-ridden time, no doubt.

Odds are on your side. Keep to that, and find something to distract yourself! Get out of the house, play with the dog, catch up with a friend you have been neglecting because of studying (but do NOT talk NCLEX with them!).

48 hours seems like forever at the moment, but it's all going to be history soon :)

Thanks guys. Wishing luck to ya. So nerve wrecking!

OMG i just tested yesterday 12/29/14 NCLEX PN. I'm so nervous and anxious. My test shut off at 145. I don't know what to think. My brother just tested on the 5th and he passed. He tried the PearsonVue trick but it didn't work for him and he passed. He got shut off at 85. I wouldn't even bother doing the tricks because its not a for sure answer and it will have you going even more crazy lol. Good luck & i wish you the best.

I was hoping to have more questions. I wanted to cry when it shut off at the minimum. I don't feel I was competent at 85 questions. This test is evil. Good luck to you too as well!

I passed! My license has been posted on BON!

Happy for you!

Hello, I felt the same way when I sat for my NCLEX PN on dec5th. I'm in CA, so I had to wait a bit to find out my results. Knowing how the test worked, I felt like my questions weren't "difficult" enough and I was feeling pretty sad after my test thinking I probably didn't make it if I didn't think the test was difficult. I had 85 questions and about past an hour of testing and I got my results in the mail on the 24th and I passed. Hang in there! Best of luck to you!

*passed not past. Oh geez. Haha. I did pass though! :)
