Exp Dates

good morning all!

i'm probably the last person to think of this, but just in case i'm not....don't forget to check the exp dates on the kiddo's inhalers and other meds as well as your "stock" inhalers, tylenol, motrin, etc.

have a great day!

I've been going through my EpiPens this week, as a matter of fact. I heard somewhere that they can trade in an expired EpiPen for a new one, but can't find specific information about that (if it's through the manuf, a particular pharmacy, or an insurance company). Any of you know??

pugmomrn - I contacted moore medical after i found out that this was going on (and did a little digging to see who offered this) the woman i spoke to said the epi-pens bought from them could be returned if expired and unused for 80% credit. I love this concept because i hate waste! Now if i could only find something similar for aed pads.

firefightingRN-- LOL on the aed pads-- we could use them for waxing body hair, as so elegantly demonstrated in the AHA training video :)

PS- Is that a self-portrait??:lol2:

Good morning all! big mtg today with OSH admin! Nsg supervisors and administrators alwaysa for interesting entertainment when we get to clinical content and all admins look at their nurse supervisor counterparts for "English Translation!"

lol indeed -nope, not a self portrait - it's a picture of one of my students getting a vision screening (check out this thread of mine and you'll appreciate the irony: https://allnurses.com/school-nursing/im-beyond-upset-448706.html )

Wow!! I didn't really notice that those were forks in the eyes- just assumed they were safety goggles of some sort.... Well, then- take my kid off your "no screen list"!!

(I'd hate to see how you do hearing screens!!)

lol - i guess that's what some of my parents here think I do. I only use a snellen chart, which in my mind is much more heinous. :D
