I realize that I really need to study the actual textbooks. I have outlines from studygroup but, it's kinda just blah, blah, blah. I need the meat with my potatoes.
So I have got one textbook. Yay half price books. Now looking for the peds and pharm, as well as the med-surg. There is a big difference in the prices of the editions. Can anyone weigh in on how much difference there might be between the editions? Like the edition before the one they recommend.
Thank you.

You will do fine if you get the previous edition, but if you are going to keep these texts, you will want the latest edition.

I go back one edition, amazon's Marketplace (similar to ebay).
The savings are incredible to do this, I get most texts at at 50-90% off the price for the new edition.
I have found everything on the Excelsior Content Outline in these books, the chapters are the same by title & number so far.
So far out of the 3 tests I've taken, passed them all first time.

I purchased all the previous editions, and have had NO problems with studying, and have passed all tests. I got some previous editions for less than $5 on half.com or textbook.com. I think I got ALL my books for less than $100. Some books are slightly different chapters - I think transistions books were most significant. You just have to check the title of the chapter, but the content was the same.
Pharmacology book I have had difficulty with, IMO, buy the current edition.

I have read your posts stating you went to galen san antonio for LVN and have now finished. I just started the January 31st classes and have some questions. I would really appreciate it. :)
