Excelsior in Florida?!?!?

Anybody look into EC graduates validity in FL???? I haven't contact the BON yet, just wondering if anyone else had???

yes the state of florida does recognize EC grads...i have many nurse friends who are EC grads and are in florida...XoXo

They definitely recognize LPN to RNs from Excelsior.

However, I don't think they recognize paramedic to RN or Resp. therapist to RN through Excelsior.

One of our members was a paramedic who then graduated from EC. Florida would license him by endorsement (applying with an RN license from another state), but not for initial licensure.

His solution: He applied for licensure in Minnesota, where they are apparently pretty quick about licensure. Once he was a licensed RN in MN, he turned right around and applied for an FL RN license.
