I was just scanning through past comments I'd posted, hoping to find something I had written for someone else in your shoes (and not have to re-type, LOL). But I couldn't find it, so here it goes again :)

Two days before your test is exactly the same as every day prior: do test questions, practice the exams, study as you have all along.

ONE day before the exam, that's different.

ONE day before the exam, there is nothing more to learn, you aren't going to get any more in your brain than you had a week ago. So at that point, it's time to switch gears.

Take a walk. Swim, run, bike, if that's your thing. Read a book, watch a classic movie, if THAT'S your thing. Play with the dog. Catch up on stupid websurfing; NOTHING academic. I mean NOTHING. YouTube for silly, FUNNY things.

Go to lunch with a friend; NCLEX is NOT the topic of discussion. Your friend loves you, but she/he is sick of the topic by now ;)

Get into a hot shower, or bath salts bath early, well in advance of bedtime. Make sure you have had a delicious and nutritious dinner, AND have something totally yummy, totally decadent-dessert-worthy afterwards....and do NOT share with the dog. :)

If you're traveling to the testing center the day before, get there in PLENTY of time to hit the aforementioned shower/bath/dessert!

Favorite pjs. I want down-time to be as relaxing as possible. Get to bed early enough that you can flip around the TV channels, or enjoy a fave movie before it's time for Lights Out.

You won't sleep well before the exam, so don't worry yourself BECAUSE you are not sleeping well. Getting enough REST is nearly as good, and THAT is what you have on the agenda: getting that shower/bath plenty early, into BED plenty early, and RELAXING. IF you are still awake hours later, don't freak yourself out. Eyes closed and rest.

In the morning, allow PLENTY of time to ready yourself and get to test center. Clothes laid out night before, morning food/coffee run well-timed. NO RUSHING.

Then pass that test, and become my colleague, please :D

I think it all depends on your personality! my brother and friends told to relax the day before the test and don't read or review, instead watch a movie or something. However, that is not my personality.

My test was at Wednesday at 2 PM and i did my practice questions the day before the test and on the day of the test. I took it like just another test! Therefore, you know yourself better than we do, if you have a routine follow it. But i would suggest to eating something sweet before entering the person testing center, I had some chocolate bars. The Best Brain Food for Test-Takers

Actually, I stated eating chocolate [dark or white] before each test; then after the test i would eat an apple. But like I said, you know yourself better and what works for you. Thus, think positive and try to eat food that will help your brain function better.

Good luck and you can do this!
