Evil Empire?

I am thinking I am going to start traveling soon and have talked to several agencies. So far, I have had really positive dealings with American Mobile. (This is before taking an assignment though.) What makes them so "evil" I guess is my question.

Try highwayhypodermics.com. They rate the companies on multiple factors. You also might search this thread for "American Mobile". I recall extensive threads about this company earlier.

I worked for them years ago. I had one great recruiter who managed to sort out some issues for me, but I had issues with paycheck errors and they made me replace the carpeting in one apt. My kids had spilled grape juice (why is it always grape juice?) and the carpet was indeed stained. But in reality, AM made enough off me that they could have pd at least some of that I thought. Yes, I was charged to recarpet the ENTIRE apt, not just the dining room.

Would I travel with them again. No. There are better choices out there.

I am working for AM right now and they have been good to me - I had a paycheck issue and they wired the money to my bank account as soon as I reported the error to them. The pay is not the highest, but I like my recruiter and know that I can get an assignement close to where I want to go.
