EVC FALL 2019

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to start a thread for those of you applying to Evergreen Valley College for the Fall 2019 Nursing Program. Just wanted to have a place for everyone to ask questions or share their experience with the application process. Finishing up my application this week. I know this is the first group using the Multi-Criteria process so it's hard to really have anything to compare it to. Good Luck to everyone! As we await the closing of the application period, we can all share our thoughts here.

My pre-req GPA was 3.3 and I had a 92% on my teas. You?

the pre reqs included all the science classes and English correct? I believe I got a 3.8 for pre reqs. For my teas, my first time I got a 84.7 and my third try I got a 93.3, and they only count the first try so I have to stick with my 84.7 :( I'm hoping I get into EVC though, it's my first choice!!! This month is so nerve wracking!

I think I scored about 60 for the multi criteria points... I'm missing a HUGE chunk cause no health work experience and I also did not take patho or pharm but I'm hopeful!

I'm at a 60 too! We're both in the same boat ?

I'm really hoping that decisions are sent out this week. In years past, when the deadline was Dec 31st, they would send them out around Dec 20th. Hoping they keep up with sending out decisions about 10 days prior to the "you'll hear back from us" date.

I know... I'm thinking the same thing. Last year I think they sent it out December 22nd when the deadline was the 31st.... ugh so nervous!!! I've been checking my email & I have so much anxiety

Does anyone know how big the cohorts are? Aka how many students get accepted for Fall 2019/pushed to Spring 2020/waitlisted/etc?

I don't know what the numbers look like for 2019, but in the past it has been 80 spaces total per application cycle -- see slide 8http://www.evc.edu/AcademicAffairs/Documents/Nursing Information Workshop- Updated 2.21.18.pdf

I believe it would be the same, as they just changed the process from lottery to point system. So F'19 - 40 spots and Sp'20 - 40 spots probably?
