Ethics

Hi

I am studying Ethics now through Excelsior. I am in the RN-BSN program. Anyone taken this test and can give some advise?

Also, anyone studying for it and want to form a study group?

thanks.

Hi. Sorry..can't help you there. I can barely stay awake in ethics class now as it is. :)

You actually have an entire class on ethics? We only have a section of two classes.

Just started reading that study guide. I am too enrolled in Exc. RN-BSN program. It sure looks like it's a doozy! All those crazy terms...looks like one of my psych courses....:chuckle

It was by far the hardest test I took through Excelsior and also the hardest to study for. All of the questions are based on senario's. It was the only test in which I used up all the alloted time. I passed with a C . I don't want to discourage you but it was very hard.

I just took ethics in Jan. passed with an A. For me I just made sure I knew the different theories. IE: utalitarianism, egoism, kantianism etc.. Try to do a lot of scenerio's. If you have a good grasp on the key elements of the different theories then you will be able to figure out the scenerio's. For example I had one scenerio that had: The family doc, a specialist, the mother of preg woman, the pregnant woman and her husband. The scenerio was something like there was something wrong with the fetus and each person had a different view and you had to identify which theory each one was coming from. I hope that made sense.

It was a bugger to study for, absolutely hated it and am glad it is over. Good luck and let us know how you do.
